Devghat
Devghat has been regarded a sacred of the religious places which is believed to purify all other holy places. Devghat, situated in the boarder of chitwan and Tanahu district is one of the sacred place for hindu pilgrimage. This is also known as Triveni because River Trishuli, River Kaligandaki, and River seti converge at this point. The people believing in Hinduism come together during Maghe sakranti, one of the biggest festival to give tribute to Lord Vishnu during mid January. There is a hindu mythology which states that demigods came to respect Lord Vishnu when he saved Gajendra, an elephant from the attack of a crocodile after hearing his prayers of heaven. It is also believed that several gods visit this place from time to time due to which it is given great importance by people believing in Hinduism.
